Another unique and special way to help the Russell Home is by booking the Corner Rose Tea Room, which is located right at the home, for an afternoon tea party.

The tea room can seat up to 12 people, but they have done teas for groups as small as two. The room is available 7 days a week, and you are generally allowed to choose what time is best for you since you will be the only ones there. Most groups come around noon or as early as 11am, and the latest time available is 6pm.

The cost of a tea party is a suggested minimum donation of $20.00 per person. The donations are tax deductible, and all funds go directly to the Russell Home.

A sample menu is provided below. Although individual items may vary, it gives an idea of how much food is served.

Your tea party may include as a first course Tomato Dill Bisque with Fruited Chicken Tarragon Salad on a toasted croissant. Followed by a three tier tray with fresh fruit, Blueberry and Lavender Scones with Clotted Cream and Lemon Curd. Four types finger sandwiches, such as ham & cheese ribbons, cucumber triangles, Italian tempter tarts and raspberry passion hearts. And of course, desserts, like lemon squares, gingersnaps, orange poppyseed mini muffins, and the Russell Home's signature sweet - sweet mice.

What a wonderful way to celebrate a birthday, bridal shower or any other special occasion!

Remember, although the tea room is available for booking 7 days per week, reservations tend to go quickly. The Corner Rose Tea Room is generally booked about 2 months in advance with the weekends booking up the quickest!
